We purchased a larger version of these the month before and liked them on our camping trip so I picked up a half dozen of these smaller ones. I like the construction and design of them and the 9 year old uses one for lunch. He said that his friends were amused by it. Both ends work well and the knife area will probably "kind of work" if needed but it's not so sharp where a kid is going to cut themselves on accident. I can see us using these for a long time.

FRAGILE!!! People should use this for a little while before reviewing this. I bought 3, and 2 of them have only 2 prongs left. Peanut butter jars are a killer to these things. I watched my girlfriends snap in half while scooping out some peanut butter. My other friend has hers taped back together after a similar time. I was camping with another friend who had a missing prong. And watched a prong snap on a different buddies a different time. Get a metal spork, or just use a normal regular fork and spoon if you're not at the point of cutting your toothbrush in half.
