They just don't have the look and feel of a $275 pair of shoes. These were supposed to run small, so I thought 36 would fit right since I wear 35 in sandals and 35.5 to 36 in shoes, but not! They are at least a size too big. They look like 37. So frustrating! Needless to say, they're going back.

I am usually a flat 8 AMerican and between a 38 and 39 depending on the shoe, but bought the 39 to be safe, as the toe is decently pointy. The height and the buckle on these are great. The crepe sole is a little unusual and scuffs just a little, but I love the Euro look of these shoes. They are great with dresses, but also look fantastic with dressy jeans.
I concur that the grey is a light, mottled color, but I actually find it nice. The heel cup is covered in a wool felt-type fabric, which is a little granola to me for a more Euro-style shoe, but I like the interesting contract of material on this shoe. -

Shoe was of good quallity material and nicely made with leather lining and comfortable wedge. The charcoal color was kind of a dirty looking light black with a black felt heel. Didn't seem to improve with brushing. Plan to return and get them in plain black.
