“What's up with the poofy back panel?”

“I like that I can roll these shorts up and stow them in my camelbak hip pak if weather gets cold and I need to switch to long pants. They are feather light. The back panel bunches up and poofs out - weird but since I use a hip pack it's not a big deal. I'm 5'2 and wear a size 2. The length is really long for shorts, they go right down to my knees and if it weren't for the side slits it would be annoying. I do not like the velcro closure. I can't wash them with my cycling jerseys because the velcro will snag the material. I'm excited to see if these shorts hold up to demanding trails like southern Utah's Gooseberry Mesa...”
