Reviewed by momma2014 from WI on Thursday, April 11, 2013My hunt for the perfect swimsuit continues. I agree with other reviews that say this is better for a c-cup. Looks like a sports bra on, which I thought would be ok, as I'm looking for a supportive, sporty, full-coverage bikini top, but this looks too much like a bra for me to feel comfortable in public. Also not as supportive as you'd think by looking at it. Was hoping for more from a higher-end brand like Lole.
Reviewed by Alaskan Skijor Chic from Fairbanks, Alaska on Friday, March 29, 2013This top is NOT supportive nor does it actually fit. I normally wear a 36C but this size D was way too small. I returned it.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by pining for support from SW VA on Monday, January 14, 2013A previous reviewer is right that this is not really for a D cup. It covers what it really needs to, but as far as support, forget it. It is too stretchy to support a D cup.
Recommended for a B or C who wants more coverage than a bikini usually provides.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Kelli Instruct from Eugene, OR on Saturday, November 10, 2012This was a cute top but definitely not suited for a D cup. I'm 32D and the cups on the small were not big enough. The band underneath even folded under when I put it on. Would probably be good for a B-C.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by SFrunner from San Francisco on Friday, September 14, 2012I am one of those individuals with a larger bust, but a smaller rib cage, so finding bathing suits that have enough coverage while fitting me around can be a bit of a challenge. This bathing suit is pretty good on those counts. I couldn't tell from the photos, but the suit has a solid front that has a mesh panel above each cup, so it provides some extra coverage without being too dowdy. The only downside for me is that I prefer bathing suits that tie around the neck and back so that I can adjust the fit for the amount of support I prefer. I will be pulling out my sewing machine to alter the back so that I can make it more snug.
- Best Uses: Water activities
- Cons: No Back Tie
- Pros: Good coverage, Stylish
Question & Answer
“I wear a 34 d or dd. With this top that is a D cup do I need a small (33-35") or a large (39-40)? Are you measuring the bust under the breast or with the breast?”
“It says that the top is a D-cup, but then the measurements are given as bust size. D usually means a three-inch difference between band and bust. Do the "bust measurements" designate the band size or the bust size (in other words, should I subtract 3 inches or order the size corresponding to my band size)?”
The bust measurements represent the band size. I would recommend ordering by your band size. Thanks for asking.
