17 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER KEPT THIS AND RETURNED A JACKET SHE HAD BOUGHT. MOTHER WOULD HAVE KEPT IT IF DAUGHTER DIDN'T WANT IT. NO ZIP OUT LINING, SO FOR COOLER WEATHER ONLY.

This jacket is the cutest ski jacket I have ever owned. The styling is so cute (love the elbow detail to allow for more movement). the asymmetrical flap across the chest really blocks the wind and adds a bit of style. The color is really beautiful and as another reviewer said, it feels and looks like a luxurious tweed. The detachable faux fur is some of the nicest I've ever seen and looks so cute! I won't be removing it any time soon. After living in Boston, I know how much the fur around your face blocks the wind and the warm insulated hood actually fits as opposed to being too big or too small. The hand gaiters were a huge plus and fit nice and tight unlike a Spyder that I tried. The zipout powder skirt is a bonus because I hate having to keep it in there if I'm just going out on the town. So glad there are pit vents - those make a huge difference when skiing or just going around town. Love love love this jacket, I couldn't be happier!!! Cute for skiing or wearing it right into town. Everything that people said about ordering a size larger is so true. I am a 4/6 and am SO glad that I ordered an 8. It fits perfectly with enough room for a base layer and maybe a fleece.

This coat is FABULOUS! It just arrived and I couldn't be happier--can't wait to try it out when winter arrives. It's very well made and should keep me warm, dry, and stylish. The tweed is really lovely (the photo doesn't do it justice) and a great alternative to all the brightly colored sporty parkas out there. I followed the advice of earlier reviewers and sized up--I'm a 4 or 6 at most "mall" stores, and the size 8 fits me perfectly with room for a midweight sweater and baselayer underneath. Awesome everyday winter jacket. Very warm and stylish. I get compliments on it all the time! The only complaint I have is that the hood is sooooo big, I can't use it and still see where I'm going!

I got this coat for trips to cold locales (a bit heavy for los angeles). This coat is very nice and appears well made. The tweed fabric is very stylish and upscale looking. There are a lot of useful details regarding pockets, zip out snow guard and zip off hood, etc. It's also waterproof. The only drawback would be weight- this is pretty heavy for a coat used for active winter sports. I kept the coat and am very pleased with it- good choice if you are going for a stylish AND functional winter coat.
