Because of the way the zipper was set, I chose not to put a new one in -- too expensive! I love the knit cuffs that are in the sleeves -- keeps wind from running up the arms. The hood is generous and I like the fur trim -- not the cheesey fake stuff. The color is very pretty. In addition to wearing it for normal cold weather wear, I use this coat to walk my dogs when it is very cold out -- it gives coverage that a regular down jacket lacks.

The best feature is the zipper does not go all the way down to the bottom of the coat, so it makes it easy to get in and out of a car. It is so warm and the down is not bulky and the cut of the coat is very flattering to any figure type.

I am petite, and the sleeves on this are perfect. So warm and looking good because of the stitching at the waist. However, the snaps could be a black (coat color) to make it even better. All in all, this is a wonderfully warm coat.Cool style, even with the real fur. Detachable, though.

Question “One reviewer mentions that this coat is washable. The description states dry clean, and hood furrier clean. Is the coat, without the hood, machine washable? Also, the picture shows buttons; does it also zip? If it zips, is it a two-way zipper (ie option to unzip from bottom to allow more leg movement)?”

Answer It is not recommended to wash the coat in a machine, but to dry clean. Washing it in a machine may destroy the lay of the insulation and make it uneven in the coat.
