The first time I wore this pair of socks, they got a real test. I live in a part of the southeast where the temperature can swing from the low 20s to the high 60s in December for several days in a row (in between snowstorms). Finding the right socks for that kind of weather that are appropriate for my work is a real challenge. I need a sock that is comfortable and durable because from 6:30 am to 4:00 pm, I am on my feet teaching teenagers. My work also requires that I train teachers several times a month, so sometimes I travel a couple of hours and teach until 8:00 pm. The first time I wore this pair of socks was on a day that I left the house on an extremely cold morning and didn't get back until late that night. The temperatures had a wide range (27 then up to 67 then back to 33). When I got around to kicking off my shoes that night, I looked down at my socks. They had formed to my feet. There were no sags or thin places. The heels were where they should have been. The toe areas showed no signs of wear. I was absolutely thrilled with these socks, and it's my good fortune that I bought more than one pair because they are rapidly becoming my favorites. I will watch for this brand and blend the next time I go shopping for socks.
