I wore them as a base layer with a heavier pair of socks when the weather took a quick downturn 1st elk season this year. My feet did get cold when I wore them alone with a thin base layer sock. These would be great for a late summer hunt, or as a base layer with heavier socks for cold weather. You can't beat this price!
