    I'm a 52-year-old female hiker and have a lot of socks for different activities. These are the perfect weight and warmth for not only winter hiking but nighttime coziness as well. Yeah, there are more cushy socks out there, but the price on these made it well worth the purchase.

    I haven't worn them more than a couple weeks, so I can't speak to durability. However, great fit, keeps my feet warm but not sweaty, and the padding gives me extra support. The only reason I give it 4 stars rather than 5 is that it is advertised as a "crew" size when it is in fact mid-calf.

    I like, not love, this product. They fit well but will not stay "up" without my ski boots on. I do some foot patrol as well as skiing. They will walk down in a very short time as I walk on patrol.
