They are somewhat loose, but didn't bunch or cause friction. (And most of my other socks are SmartWool PHd. with the fancy compression areas.) I have size 5.5 feet and got the Small size socks. Have not washed yet.

Question “These say to machine wash and dry, so I'm wondering whether I should expect some shrinkage after a few washes. I'm right on the line between sizes, & the ones I just received in the smaller size fit perfectly now, before washing.
