“Wow! Surprise of a lifetime when I opened that bag. I thought it was kind of odd that all three pair of SmartWools I ordered came on their normal card...but the Lorpen pair was in its own plastic bag. The quality of these socks is awesome as everyone else has noted...but holy moly, what an awful stench when new. I saw one reviewer noted that one pair smelled like incense--I could see where maybe this was some kind of crazy incense smell...but it seemed almost more chemical...if not deadly. Instantly washed them by hand repeatedly and I'm hoping they can be de-odored.”
