They are described as having "button-through hand pockets, but actually have only false, sewn-shut "pockets" that, even if the stitching were removed (probably a very bad idea), would not accommodate even a squirrel's hand, and would still be held shut by the false "buttonholes" that are sewn all the way through, and non-functioning decorative-only buttons.
