so far so good. I have always worn the Tempest and it wasn't available. I like a wider toe box and this shoe seems to have that. I am a carpenter and need good footing/traction/stabilty for roofs, ladders and slippery lawns. The shoe bends well and doesn't crush the top of my foot, which is important because it seems I squat a lot. I hope it will be durable. The Tempest is leather and was super durable. I liked the Orix enough to get a back up pair.

I needed a shoe with a less flexible sole than my running shoes for walking and jogging and for also dealing with rocky sea shores. This shoe fits the bill.

I was looking for a shoe I could trail run in...something light enough to run with, but giving me some protection from cactus, etc. These shoes were a bit heavy and bulky for running, plus the arch support was not enough for my very high arches. It's a decent shoe though, for day hiking on the trail. I returned the shoes.
