“I use these light yet rugged shoes when I want to travel the miles on trails and want super ventilation. I would even consider them for light backpacking, because I feel so nimble in them I can make my way around boulders rather than needing impact protection of big boots. The ultralight backpacking crowd really goes for ventilated shoes like these, rather than Gore-tex linings because they dry much faster, believe it or not! Traction has been acceptable, though I have not tested their outer limits.”
