    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    This shoe was pretty flimsy for a trail shoe. I could feel every rock on the trail when I wore them. They would be fine around town, or on graded or paved trails; they are comfortable for those purposes. But I did not find these appropriate for rocky trails or as an approach shoe.
