The boot runs one half size too large. Width is excellent. This is a boot you can own for years and love. I've owned a pair for 15 years and hiked across africa and the usa... comfortable!

I use it for continuous 14 days, alpine mountain hiking. Perfect! And I just order the same size as my normal shoes. The extra size is fit for the thick shocks.

Doing practice canyon hikes to prepare for 4 major Idaho peaks in July. It took about two 4 mile hikes to break in. They are heavy, but very supportive and sturdy. They were a full size too big,but great service when I returned the 1/2 size smaller for the full size smaller. Haven't tested the gore-tex yet. I have a narrow, long foot and am using inserts and heavy weight socks even with the full size smaller.

I ordered the half size small and they are perfect. They fit my foot with so slipping at all. Even with a spare pair of liner socks they are good. Very solid boot and I am very picky! My friend is ordering hers tomorrow!

This doesn't fit like other Lowa boots. I ordered one size smaller like most other Lowa boots I wear, and my toes touched the end. If I were to order again, I would order the same size as I wear in shoes (one full size larger than my Lowa boot sizes).
