“I wore out my last heavy leather boots after 12 years of regular hiking and hunting use. These boots are by far a better shoe than those, so I am sure they will last. After wearing them inside for a week, I was confident they would fit great on the trail and they have so far. After only one short trail hike it is hard to comment fully, but they are well padded with a sweet leather liner. If your feet sweat a lot like mine, forget the Gore-tex and opt for these. The heel fits my narrow heel well and the toe box is very roomy. They are a tad longer than some 9 1/2 boots I have had, but that just adds to the comfort. No toe bashing on downhills in these! I would not recommend for very wide feet.”
