Closeouts. Lowa’s Ellypse Lo trail running shoes are perfect for keeping a steady and stable stride from the pavement to trail with a grippy Vibram® outsole and a flexible-yet-supportive nylon shank.
While these shoes are stylish look durable, they are big in an unusual area: The height. My toes were nearly touching the front but I could not feel the shoe very well on top of the outsides of my foot. Maybe this is why, even though they are sharp and running-tough, they are being cleared?

Originally I ordered these trail runners 1/2 size up as suggested...and like other reviewers found them too big. I returned them for my "normal" running shoe size and they were right on in the length. They are, however, a bit generous in the toe-box height. Personally, for trail running this doesn't bother me, but this would be a bigger deal if I were to use these mainly on pavement. The uneven terrain on trails seems to be better tolerated if the toes have more room to "adjust" in the shoe, but on pavement this can feel quite sloppy.
The construction of the shoe seems top shelf. They are well designed and pleasing to the eye. I especially like the toe rand that blends in well with the shoe and seems rugged.
As with other Lowa products I have purchased, the insoles do not have nearly enough arch support, so plan on the cost of a pair of Superfeet in with the shoes.

Great shoe overall from one of the better names in outdoor footwear, Lowa. I'm not sold on the advice of ordering one-size up, as I feel these run pretty true to size. The toe-box is generous in width, so the shoe may actually feel a bit big. It is a very confortable fit, overall and the cushioning is quite generous. Genuine Vibram rubber-sole has a very aggressive tread pattern that will be a plus off-road. No real stability-enhancing features for runners that need more protection from over-pronation. Light-weight and great breathability make all-day wearing comfortable.
