“Originally I ordered these trail runners 1/2 size up as suggested...and like other reviewers found them too big. I returned them for my "normal" running shoe size and they were right on in the length. They are, however, a bit generous in the toe-box height. Personally, for trail running this doesn't bother me, but this would be a bigger deal if I were to use these mainly on pavement. The uneven terrain on trails seems to be better tolerated if the toes have more room to "adjust" in the shoe, but on pavement this can feel quite sloppy.
The construction of the shoe seems top shelf. They are well designed and pleasing to the eye. I especially like the toe rand that blends in well with the shoe and seems rugged.
As with other Lowa products I have purchased, the insoles do not have nearly enough arch support, so plan on the cost of a pair of Superfeet in with the shoes.”
