Closeouts. Lowa's Ellypse Lo trail running shoes are perfect for keeping a steady and stable stride from the pavement to trail with a grippy Vibram® outsole and a flexible-yet-supportive nylon shank.
These were quite stiff when I first recieved them so they took a few walks/runs to break in. Now they feel great but might be a little bit wide for my average feet. Overall they are comfy but don't offer much in the cusioning department for sure!

Surprisingly, little or NO arch support for the price. I also agree they need a break in period.
Very good traction on rocky road & trail.
Purchased mine at another retailer for half the price - so I bought 2 pairs. BIG mistake, absolutely NO bargain & NOT worth as much as I paid.
Personally, I think there is a manufacturing flaw (defect) & that is why these shoes - the Ellypse Lo Trail Shoes are NO longer available from LOWA & have been discontinued. After a week of daily short hikes to break in; I went on a longer hike and in less than an hour I had painful blisters on the backs of both heels, which broke open and bled. I have NOT had a problem with blisters since the early 1980's when I wore cheaper shoes. It appears there are large creases with large indentions in the back of both pairs of shoes which I believe caused the blisters. This is my personal opinion as well as my personal experience.

Too lightweight and not supportive enough to be a true trailrunner...or roadrunning shoe - Vibram soles are lighter than other Vibrams I've had. Not a bad shoe...just underqualified for running through the woods. It's a nice, lightweight walking shoe.

After I purchased a pair of these for my Mom for gym use(Zumba)she asked me to pickup a second pair for her. She has an awful time finding shoes that fit as her feet are both very small and very flat. Although I checked "Too Wide" above, they are, in fact, perfect for her. If you have a low arch and find most shoes too narrow, give these a shot! I can't directly comment on the other features but they seem fairly light and well built for the size.
