“It's difficult to find shoes like this that aren't made in China so I was thrilled when I found them. The cost is well worth it for these shoes. I haven't seen low rise shoes with a sole like this before - they are basically as stiff as a trekking boot. The soles aren't made of spongey foam like a lot of trail shoes, so I expect them to last several years. The outsoles are extremely aggressive, with large lugs. If they were Gore-Tex they would be about the most versatile shoes on the market. They seem warm yet still breathable. I plan to wear them on the trail, on the way to work in the winter, and any other time I need a comfortable shoe with good support.”
