    Made in Italy, like most good boots used to be. Leather lining makes a difference. No gortex, which makes sense in southern California.

    I really like these boots. They are just like I used to get when I was a child. I finally found some that are made the same way with the quick lacing at the top and the nice leather lining and not Made in China!!! I am a female and found that the Euro 40 is not gender specific so these men's fit well and were much less than the woman's in the same design. I can't wait to take them out exploring.

    I water proofed these even before wearing 1st time just to be sure. My first pair I wore every day through the winter and now that I have 2nd pair I'll donate the first pair since they still have some wear on them. I got mens only because of the color. I also have a pair of women's but can't wear them to work because of the color. They are comfortable as well, but the mens is more comfortable right off (they are the older version, luckily I got a pair of the old style).
