“I field tested the boots before returning. They are some of the most comfortable boots (i have never been able to wear boots) I have ever had. Usually with hiking i get toe cramps and burning in the ball of my foot - none of that occurred with these at 5 -6 hours of varied terrain. I also need a fairly large toe box and these accomodated that. However, I guess my ankles are too skinny, no matter how I adjusted the straps these boots bruised my ankles - actually left red/purple marks both legs. They have adequate padding around the ankles so I can only assume it must be my legs or stride or something. So I must return an otherwise awesome boot. Price was great, color nice, and they retard moisture wonderfully.”
