“These shoes are my first Lowa's. The brand has a reputation for quality and an in-the-know mystique about it, but my experience with these shoes is that they are clunky, overly stiff, and tight at the base of the toes. I tried them in 2 sizes. The size that did not pinch my foot at the base of my toes were so loose in the heel that it was impossible to lace them tight enough to prevent them from slipping at every step. The size that minimized slipping in the heel were overly narrow at the base of my toes. I have long, slender feet so this is usually not a problem for me. Because they are so stiff, breaking them in seemed like a fool's errand, so I ended up returning both pairs.”
