Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Reviewed by Adam from Colorado on Sunday, April 27, 2014I purchased these a few months ago but was finally able to use them this last week on a hike up a 14er in Colorado. It was a sunny day with highs near 50 so the temperature was not a test. The snow and slush definitely tested the boot. The end of the day was waste deep slush that I fell through just about every step. The positive to the boots, my feet stayed completely dry the entire time even when appearing completely soaked on the outside. My foot also stayed warm even at the summit as we sat for about 20 minutes. The sole stiffness was remarkable as I had to kick step at different parts and it greatly supported the foot. They also worked well in snowshoes. The one downside is that they took the entire hike to be somewhat comfortable and on the ascent, I was starting to get blisters on my heels. I think I need to mess around more with lacing them to really lock in my heel. Overall though a very nice boot that worked for a spring ascent up a 14er. I believe they would work for a winter ascent as well. It that will have to wait until next year.
