3.0 out of 5 stars. Upper material is textileReviewed by GerGirl from Michigan on Tuesday, February 10, 2015Fit and comfort would make it a 5 star. Product was advertised as upper material to be split leather. It's not leather but textile as the big tag attached instantly tells you. Still like the shoe and will keep it but it's false advertisement so I give it only 3 stars.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Ankles Cut Too HighReviewed by Anonymous from California on Friday, January 30, 2015Lowa typically fits me well. I'm pretty consistently a Euro size 39 and inconsistently a US 71/2 or 8. The 39 S-Cloud feels true to size and could accommodate a foot wider than mine. With low hikers, trail runners, sneakers, etc. I sometimes run into the problem of shoes being cut too high in the ankle. My ankle bones then rub uncomfortably against the ankle rim of the shoe. For the first time with Lowa, the S-Cloud is giving me this very problem. I'll be returning these.

5.0 out of 5 stars. great shoesVerified Buyer Reviewed by Meadowview from northern california on Friday, January 16, 2015I've been wearing these for hiking on loose, pebbly surfaces, and find them comfy, and grippy, while being lightweight. They are wider than the average M width shoe, a bonus for my wider than average feet.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Fit the bill, exactlyVerified Buyer Reviewed by I stop for shoes from Oakland, CA on Sunday, October 26, 2014These shoes are the perfect alternative if you find running shoes so squishy that your ankles tire from excessive flexion. They fit well, with no pressure points on the foot, provide good cushioning for city streets, and seem grippy enough for rocks. I like the unobtrusive dark taupe color, too.
