Closeouts. Take to the trail with the Tempest Lo hiking shoe from Lowa and feel the difference quality nubuck, suede and Cordura® nylon construction makes. Molded, contoured polyurethane midsoles with stabilizer shanks increase support.
Dri-Lex® nylon linings reduce moisture build-up and friction
This is a great shoe. I have been wearing the tempest lo since 2000. I am a carpenter and am digging holes, standing on ladders, pushing and kicking with my feet and toes, walking endlessly, standing on slick roofs, and crouching. This is a really safe, strong, durable, shoe. The leather upper is what makes it. This shoe will last me a year in harsh work conditions. I also enjoy hiking and it is a very quick, comfy, and slip resistant shoe. Excellent for rock hopping. It is hot in the summer, particularly when walking fast.

This is my third pair of Lowa hiking shoes. Will purchase their hiking boots too. I have a long, thin foot with narrow heels. This product suits my foot type.
Lowa is constructed well. This product lasts. I am a serious hiker who covers all types of terrain on a daily basis.

I love all my higher Lowa's but this was too big. I didn't feel as if I would have solid footing without a good snug fit. Disappointing. I wear a 9 1/2 consistently, 10 in a few running shoes. This 9 1/2 felt wide and loose. If they fit you right, they seem like they'd be quite comfy and supportive.

I waitress, after two foot surgeries for arch problems, my Lowa's keep me on my feet. They are comfortable, supportive, great traction, and they are sporty looking.
