Verified Buyer Reviewed by nharding from Kansas City on Wednesday, February 25, 2015I really like these hiking boots, I have been searching for a pair that I like and these are both pleasing to the eye and comfortable. I took the advice of other reviewers and ordered half a size up. If you wear thin socks I would recommend sticking to your normal size, however if you wear thick wool socks like I do I would definitely order that half size up. I normally wear a 7.5 in Nike running shoes and ordered an 8 in these boots.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Sonoma Hiker from Forestville, CA on Saturday, November 29, 2014Although these shoes say they are still made in Slovakia--the fit is totally different from my last two pairs of Lowa boots (which I have loved and have fit me so well). These are much narrower and even though I ordered a half size up, the toe box would not have had enough room for the downhill. I had to return them.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Garden Girl from Virginia on Wednesday, November 5, 2014These boots are the only ones I will buy (Lowa) as they run narrow enough for my feet. They are not overly bulky so you can stay nimble while hiking. Also sturdy but not too heavy so you won't be tired at the end of your hike. I order one half size up from regular shoes and they fit perfect.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Nanamo from California on Sunday, August 3, 2014My last pair of Lowa hiking boots lasted 10 years during which I took 6 vacations of 7 days hikes. Never a pain or blister.
This new pair feels like a glove. Do not need to break them in.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Char G. from Astoria,Oregon on Thursday, May 29, 2014These boots are made well and look good on. Might run a tad narrow. Keep my feet dry while hiking in a rain forest,
Answer I wear an 8.5 wide or a 9 normal . And the 9 on this shoe was way too narrow and smaller than any 9 I have ever tried on. A 9 usually runs a bit bigger on me, this one, my toes were jammed up against the end of the shoe. The shoe is very well made.
