Because of the comments by previous buyers I took a chance on what was marked as US size 12 and Europe 47. They are actually 11-11.5 and 45 which are my usual sizes. They are light weight, will travel well and provide support and cushioning for urban walking. I took them out of the box and went on a two mile walk on asphalt and concrete and I was not disappointed. Are definitely narrow in the heal and have reasonable width in the toe box.

They look nice and so far seem to be genuinely waterproof (I have been out in some slushy weather). However, the first pair I ordered at my usual size, 10M, were too small and tight--very uncomfortable. I returned them for a size 10.5M, which still fit snugly but are fine (I think the shoes run narrow, which is why a larger size is required). I am happy with the shoes now but had to pay an additional $5.90 in shipping to exchange for the right size, which seems a bit unfair since the shoes do not run to normal size.

Fit is true to size and quality is good. These are very "streamlined" shoes with minimal bulk giving them almost a "small" appearance compared to typical "clunky" (large sole) type casual shoes. I think this is an advantage for travel this they pack well and take up less space.
