Lowa

These are great shoes. I get a lot of compliments on them. This is my third pair in three years. I wear them almost everyday. They stand up to the long days on my feet in retail. I do replace the insoles several times during a year.

Seems to fit more narrowly than other Lowa boots I have tried on. Will return.

Great shoe: stable, comfortable, great traction. Very nice looking too. A bit too wide in heel area for me, however, this can be remedied with thicker socks. Great buy!

I've put hundreds of miles on these shoes and they are still holding up. I have hike these shoes everywhere from the Cascades to Alaska to Peru and Argentina.

This show is the best. It is so comfortable.

Nice roomy toe box, heel is wide for me, but I can snug these down comfortably with the lacing system. I found that Lowas run on the large side, so I just order 1 size smaller.

I really like Lowas in general and this just confirms that!

This is my second pair of Lowa boots (I walked my Tempest Mids to pieces) and I believe I'm hooked for life.I am on my 5th day of everyday wear, breaking them in before I go on the trail with them. This involves wearing them all day at work (not too rigorous) and walking 3 or so blocks each way to and from the transit station. My feet have been very comfortable in these boots - no sore spots or hot spots, no numbness.I have narrow feet, so the tightness that others have noted is not a problem for me. I do notice that the toe box is narrower than on my previous boots, but also a bit longer (same size, each). The width on my foot and heel is perfect and the arch support is superb.[...]I can't speak to the quality long-term just yet, but construction looks good, neat and precise. They are not heavy but very sturdy and supportive.

Have this boot since 2003 and love it. I have small ankles and high arches the boot fit was too much room so to fix that I purchased SOLE insoles for hiking that are heat moldable in the oven that was the answer. I do wear a thickish THERLO sock too. These boots are wonderful. They hike on rocky winter moderate trails beautifully and cause of the lacing system it secures my heal well though the plastic squeaks slightly when striding. Lowa changed the new VERTEX slightly where it laces at the ankle and the fit was not as good keeping your heel snugged in. So I returned that model and would say this is boot for me couldn't be much better, as far as the slight noise of plastic a minor flaw. If you purchase insoles after use take the out overnight to air dry. I am 54 and 210 also snowshoe and winter hike with day pack 10 lbs+
