This is a very nice bag but too technical for such small capasity. There is no need for an internal frame on a bag that can only carry 20lbs or less. There is very little usable volume because of the arched internal frame. I don't know if I will keep this bag, My 300 weight fleece and hard shell took up most of the room inside. This may be a nice carry-on bag to travel with and if I keep the bag that is what I will use it for. ONly use is as a day bag... Pro's this is a very well made bag and looks very durable and I am sure will not let you down.

I bought a smaller version of this same pack a couple of years back and I love it. I am a small woman and it is difficult to find packs that fit me well. While there are some things I would change about this pack (I'm thinking about adding a daisy chain on the other side, it is difficult to strap or clip things to only one without them banging you in the side), I think its comfort and general usefulness outweigh those cons. I have used this pack for day hikes, climbing, and even traveling. In response to earlier comments: the side pockets (at least in my size) easily fit 1-liter Nalgenes; while the straps rubbed my neck a little after I first purchased the pack, they no longer do so; and I like the smaller size of the pack, it's nice to not have to carry something big when you only need 30% of the space.

I owned this backpack before and I loved it! It's a great size and I'm obsessed with the attached raincover, so convenient! I would recommend this backpack to anyone needing a comfortable, lightweight daypack.

I was looking for a backpack for bike commuting with a bigger capacity than my trusted Deuter Race X Air II. This Lowe pack has a similar design and what sold me was the suspended system for the back that greatly increases ventilation. I was used to it from the Deuter and Lowe's system is virtually identical and works just as good. Capacity is great and I can fit a set of clothes, my notebook and lunch in there with room to spare. The back is fairly long and the straps and belt definitely favor taller people like me (6'4"). The built in rain cover is very nice and practical. Saves me from having to carry a trash bag. There is room for a hydration system that I am using it with a 2l bladder but there would be room for a bigger reservoir too. A minot complaint would be that the inside pocket for the reservoir only extends to about half the overall height. If you are packing pointy objects, this could be a problem. Also, there are no guide clips or loops for the tube along the shoulder straps. I had to rig something up with velcro strips. Another minor complaint about the design of the shoulder straps is the total lack of loops or hooks to add clips or my cell phone holder etc.. I also wish the waist straps had organizeer clips to tuck the excess material out of the way. I will try to transfer the ones from my Deuter. But thesee minor complaints aside, this is an excellent pack for bike commuting or touring with plenty of room and adjustability. Quality seems to be excellent and I am confident it will last me a while.
