She likes it so far. It carries a standard sized laptop, plus room for a book or two in the main compartment. Pay attention to the dimensions of this pack. They are accurate, but this is relatively small as far as packs go.

Very Nice day pack or school pack. Has a lot of features. It does not have a lot of room so not good for a night trip. I would have given it a 4 1/2 but that option was not available

We originally purchased this bag to be an emergency bag. It comfortably held all my 72-hour supplies (list from the city of San Fransisco's emergency preparedness website). However, it's so comfortable that I've been using it for hiking as well. The many pockets are a great convenience for keeping things organized either way.

Great pack for day hikes, a comfortable and well made product that is a bargain at this price. Not the biggest pack but a great size to carry enough stuff for a days hike and a similar pack was twice the price at my local outdoor store.

I sometimes have to check in a window as I am walking by to make sure the backpack is still on my back. It is comfortable and distributes weight effectively. It also is very compact, or close to my back, so it is not jutting out and getting caught on things or hitting people.

My husband has had the same lowe alpine day pack for, literally, the past 10 years. He used it through school, hiking, trips and it is still going strong. So he convinced me to get one too, and it was the right decision.

It seems to be of high quality and well designed. I do experience minor zipper snags, nothing to be concerned about though.

    Highly recommend this pack.
