The zipper at the crotch zips downward to close leaving a zipper tab visible at a very strange spot-at the end of the crotch. The waist tie also does not even have a plastic closure-just a shoe string. We expect more out of a LOWE product.

Excellent pants! I'm very pleased with them. They are a bit of a tight fit from top to bottom, so it's a little tricky getting any heavy under layers to fit underneath. I've already used them ice climbing with a midweight underlayer, and I was plenty warm/comfortable. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is that aside from the seat and gaiter area, the entire back of the pants is a thin stretchy fleece material. This is not really a bad thing, except that my primary use is cold cold weather. Overall, I highly recommend them!

I initially bought these pants for a planned attempt for Mt Hood. I used them recently for cross country skiing at temps of 18 degrees and they worked fantastic with a base layer of polypropelene. Great for cold weather activities. They allowed great freedom of movement.

As always, looked good in the catalog, turned out strange use of fabric. I couldn't get them on and off! You would have to see them to know what I mean. Thanks anyway.

I use them for downhill skiing, even though the ankle insets aren't stretchy enough to fit easily over boots, and they're pretty light weight. Thankfully, they are available in short length, so I don't have to have them altered, as with everything else I've owned or tried.
