    I bought this jacket to take camping with me. I was hoping that it would pack into one of its own pockets or a stuff sack. Alas, it does not pack into its own pockets and was too bulky and heavy for camping, so I had to return mine. However, it was a very well made and sturdy jacket and would be an excellent choice for someone who is not looking for minimal weight and/or packability.

    I have a ten year old Lowe Alpine Jacket. It's mostly orange with blue sleeves and still functions fine. I liked the idea of a more conservative dark blue and this looks great. I have one thing I don't like about this one and that is how many velcro patches run along with the zipper. I takes too much time to get it adjusted properly when putting it on or taking it off.
