Lowe Alpine Enduro Jacket - Waterproof, Stretch (For Men)

Bought this jacket for my son for a lightweight rain jacket for school. So far seems to be living up to what I expect from a Lowe Alpine product.

Basic jacket that is not as good as other Lowe jackets. Runs small compared to their other products, too. Doesn't feel as durable as their other jackets. Not many technical features for serious outdoor use but would make a good shell for everyday urban raingear.

I ordered a medium and buy the time I received it, tryed it on and realized it was too small around the chest, there were no more large sizes available...I was really desappointed, since everything else about this jacket was AWESOME!

Ok for those who don't know what an ENDURO Jacket is here you go : Enduro is off road motorcycle riding... SOOOO for the dimwits complaining here's the breakdown... It's extra long to cover you in a seated position, Sleeves are a bit more generous to allow extra range of motion (this is a GOOD feature for an ENDURO jacket), and the zipper is on the left to allow easier adjustment without taking your throttle hand loose... Dimwits buy a motorcycle jacket then complain about motorcycle FEATURES. As an off-roader, this is a good entry level jacket. It could use bigger/more pockets, a hydration access on the storm flap, some hi-vis on it, and maybe even a radio pocket.... dimwits kill me.

I live in Portland, OR so a good rain coat is a must for everyday activities. This does the job and looks nice enough in black to wear to meetings.

I purchased the jacket expecting to use as a shell for winter layering. But the jacket seemed small around the chest and long in the arms. I'm about 5"8" and 165 lbs. So I will be returning the jacket. However, the quality seemed good, but for the price I think that I can find a shell that fits better and is made from a waterproof fabric and not a DWR coating.

As noted, the zipper pull is on the wrong side (left side), so that takes getting used to. The sleeves are long, but I prefer that: you can always tighten up the velcro at the wrists, or let the sleeves hang over your hands to protect them, too. I like the way that the hood rolls up behind the neck--it's always there, but unobtrusive otherwise.

Poor zipper, no liner. This is waterproof yet it should have a liner for more versatility. It is just a basic shell.

I run in cold wet snowy windy weather part of the year. I needed something that keeps out the wind that I can still run in and stay dry.
