Got the jacket, and it fits great. I have a long torso and monkey-arms, but this fits and doesn't ride up. I have only used it a couple of times, but it truly does seem to be waterproof.

Great Jacket. I'm around 5'11'' 175 and the jacket fits great as a Medium. I can fit a mid-layer under it and I still have great range of motion. Wore it yesterday for the first time and got lots of complements. Can't wait to try it out on the slopes.

This is in fact the Lowe Alpine Fusion GTX Jacket. It is made with Gore-Tex Pro Shell. I live in a temperate rain forest and this jacket has served me very well in the week I've owned it. I am pleased with the fit except for the size of the sleeves. They seem to be a bit big although I would rather have sleeves that are too big (allowing plenty of room for layering) in an outer shell like this than too snug. The overall fit and finish of this jacket are top notch. I would buy again. Highly recommended. 9 out of 10.

This is actually the Lowe Alpine Fusion (not Fuse) jacket (tag on sleeve verifies this). This jacket is entirely Gore-Tex Pro Shell as the tagging and stiching in the arm state. I personally contacted Gore-Tex in the US and Lowe Alpine in the UK to confirm this. Lowe Alpine clothes are not sold in the US anymore since they are owned by the Italian company Asolo. I ordered a size M jacket which measured almost identical in size to other Lowe jackets (Treklite, Crescent) that are size S. The M weighs only 17.6 oz on my scale. The pit zips are on the triceps; two large chest pockets, no inner pocket. My jacket is 30.5" long in the back, 23" wide at the pits, 21.5" wide in the middle, and 22" wide at the bottom; sleeves are 26" long. Again, other Lowe jackets I tried in size S had the same measurements. There is plenty of room for layering and for a helmet, but the hood cinches down easy. Overall quality and detail is top-end. Excellent Velcro storm flap on front zipper and on sleeves. Very good shell for all-season use on or off the mountain and my first choice of shells.

This is the Pro-Shell Keaton 3 layer! People should do their homework before they review. Impeccably crafted, and loaded with technical features. Pit zips are short, but function fine because the fabric breathes well on its own. They're pit zips, not arm zips! Lowe Alpine went with Pro-Shell because there was no weight advantage with the Pack-Light. My jacket weighs less than advertized! Coverage is excellent when the limbs are extended. Triple-fold zipper flaps are serious (takes a brief moment to get in the jacket), but so are this jacket's intended uses. The hood design is terrific, with many volume adjustments. Fit with multiple layers underneath is just right for my arms (medium- 6'2 190 lb). You won't find a better value in a hard shell out there.

I purchased this to use as my main foul-weather jacket for guiding/ice climbing/mountaineering. However, it's going back tomorrow. First off, the jacket is well made. All the seams are perfectly sealed, the pockets are logically placed for use with a pack/harness, you can easily fit a helmet under the hood, and the jacket has a double-slider zipper.Unfortunately, the sleeves are enormous in volume. They're nearly big enough for me to get my legs in, and have far too much extra material for them to be a practical climbing/mountaineering jacket. In addition to that, the "pit-zips" are a basically useless 4 inch zipper/slit on the inner tricep. Due to this design, you don't actually get any air-flow to your pits, and can't easily reach the zipper because of its location. So, rather than providing additional ventilation, all we get is extra weight. Finally, and this is a bit of a nit-pick, the triple storm flap on the main zipper is total overkill. All it really does is make it harder to get into the jacket.Had I been able to try on this jacket and see all these issues first-hand, I would never have even considered purchasing it.None of these faults are Sierra Trading Posts however. [...] I'm expecting the return to go smoothly as well.

This is one of the best-made hard shells I've owned. Contrary to the earlier reviews, this is made with Pro Shell. It is not Pac-Lite. The jacket is beautifully constructed and fits perfectly to size. An excellent array of features make it highly functional. A superb hard shell for hiking, mountaineering, climbing, and/or just daily use. Excellent hood fit and adjustability; great arm range of motion for hiking/climbing. The medium I received weighs 1lb 2 oz, which is 4 oz lighter than listed on the web page. Looking at the Lowe Alpine web site, this is clearly the Fusion jacket; there's a typo in the listing (Fuse).

The jacket is mostly made of Paclite which is not as heavy duty as proshell. I am more unhappy with the incorrect description. Overall, the fit is great but this seems very fragile for even casual use. The jacket is not tough enough for rigorous backcountry use.
