    I rode my bike for an hour in a downpour--and was completely dry underneath this jacket. Although unlined, the jacket is good for a wide range of temps -- have worn it for hiking in temps ranging from 30s to 50s. my one quibble is that the storm collar is a bit stiff (scratches my chin).

    My Husband gave me this shell for the Colorado fourteeners. It is the perfect jacket for the Colorado backwoods. Good reach, not limiting movement. Excellent hood moves naturally where you look. Everything seals up tight, pit zips and hood can all be operated with winter mits on.

    Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
    My similar coat had velcro that didn't stick and an unraveling seam, it's out of stock at STP, so I contacted Lowa for repair or replacement, their response: "Sorry, we only carry the Pack line from Lowe Alpine in the USA. Sierra Trading Post buys closeouts direct from the factories and therefore handles all of their own customer's returns directly with their 100% satisfaction guarantee policy. Please contact them for return information. If they are out of stock, they should be able to arrange a credit for you." FYI. Sierra Trading Post stands by their Products, this is not a negative comment about STP, just Lowa.
