Took the advice of other reviewers and ordered a size up. I normally wear an XL and decided to order the XXL. It fits fine through the chest but agree that the sleeves are a bit too long. This makes the jacket perfect for leaning forward while cycling. In other situations the sleeves can be slid up a bit on the arms and velcroed at the wrist, leaving a little slack in the arms but not enough to be a big deal. If you're like me, the jacket will be over several other layers and the extra space will be appreciated at best and not a big deal at worst. Not likely the best choice for someone that has shorter arms, however. The jacket is light, very wind resistant and easily packable. I expect it to be waterproof as well.

This is a superior rain jacket, but runs VERY small. I ordered an XXlarge because of comments (and availability) but I usually go with a large or extra large. This jacket is JUST big enough. Sleeves were fine in length. High quality construction, lightweight for backpackers, but I haven't tested it in heavy rain yet. Kodiak will determine durability. 4 stars for size discrepancy.

I'm an XL, but have had to get XXL in other outer shells in order to layer, but even the XXL didn't have enough layer room in this jacket. As others have noted, the zipper is backwards for US men. Also, the zipper is one-way, so you can't zip up from the bottom a little.

I'm not fat by any means, (32" Waist 50" Chest) but if you're a gym rat or just big in the chest, buy big. I went with a XXL and it's close in the chest. I could probably squeeze a thin base layer (fleece) under it, but it would be tight. Jacket is absolutely remarkable though. What's odd is that the jacket fits perfect everywhere else (shoulders, armpits, abdomen, length) except the chest and arm length, which is expected with a climbing jacket. I would buy another one, but I'm glad I went XXL.

Took it to the tailor to adjust the arm length and wore it with an arm sling. Was able to put it on, zip it up without assistance. Will wear this all year round. Bought a second one. Have Marmot, Sierra design,EMS but this one is my favorite.Removes perspiration well.

While ice climbing in Ouray I could scarcely tell I had it on! Good freedom of movement no useless pockets where my harness goes. The hood adjusts easily to fit over a helmet or shrinks down when I don't have a helmet. I am 5'11" and 165 pds. I have a medium and can fit a few layers underneath just right for climbing. I have long arms and an athletic build so this jacket works great for me.

I usually fit a Large size. In order to fit layers/fleece jacket underneath, I had to return it and get an Extra Large. In proportion with the overall size of the jacket, the sleeves are way too long (I recognize the longer sleeves are intended to overlap gloves--but it is still too long). Overall, I am very happy with jacket especially how lightweight it is.
