Great glove for when you need to change from mixed to straight ice. Very grippy, little over the top in looks but if it works run with it.

These gloves work great for leashless ice climbing tools. Good grip and not really bulky. The knuckles are well protected and they stay waterproof.

These gloves are excellent for climbing ice. I've used a pair that I bought from this website for about 3-4 seasons and only now are the seams starting to wear out. They're not waterproof, but the shed water pretty well. Once they're wet, though, the leather keeps it in so always bring extra gloves. They're thin and permit excellent finger movement from delicate tasks, but are much warmer than I expected for a thin glove. The knuckle protectors are invaluable, I wish every glove included them - after bashing my knuckles with other gloves I'll only use this type from now on. The large elastic loops by the cuff are great for keeping the gloves tethered to your wrist or clipping to your harness. The velcro closure cinches down nicely, making sure they stay on your hands (other gloves slip off when weighting my leashes).

I would recommend a separate belay glove since these are not insulated and can soak up water after a while, but they climb very well and I'd recommend them to any ice climber.

My only complaint is that when I bought them several years ago, they were half of the current sale price. This is the only place I can find these gloves and I really don't want to switch to a different model.

    • Cons: Not warm or waterproof
    • Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical
    • Gear Usage: Winter Sports
    • Pros: Durable, Good Grip, Lightweight, Maintains dexterity, Protect knuckles
