“cute shorts run VERY small”

“These are cute pants with some nice embroidered details on the pocket. I bought them to take and wear on vacation because they're lightweight and will dry quickly. I have a daughter and two nieces who are roughly the same as me, so I purchased more than one pair. For reference: I am an adult woman with a slight, straight build much like a young girl's or boy's. At 5'3" tall and 105#, my typical clothing sizes are womens' XS or 0, and childrens' 12. It's very unusual for me to run across womens' pants that are too small - in fact many dress slacks in a size 0 fall straight down. But these size 2 capris don't even come close to zipping around my 24" waist. Nor do they fit my niece who weighs quite a bit less than I. They do, however, fit my nine-year-old, 70# niece rather well as long pants (aside from being a little baggy in the backside.) The size 6 pants purchased for my curviest niece fit me best. Unless you have a very, very tiny waist, I recommend ordering about three sizes larger (no joke) than your normal.”
