“Good, solid coat”

“Contrary to many of the other reviews, I really like this coat. It's very warm for our wet Germany winters. I've worn it in snow and rain and stayed dry. The colors are muted...they are not bright, vivid, ski slope colors, but I didn't buy the jacket to match everything I wear (it goes fine with black.) I wear it for everyday, sledding with kids, and for hiking through the woods. It has back of the arm zips to help circulation and keep cool. There is plenty of room for layering (I'm 5'4" and 130, size 6/8) and I bought a size L to fit my broad shoulders. The skirting works great to keep the snow from going up my back. It's a sturdy coat and I got it for less than 1/3 it's recommended price. Can't go wrong with that!”
