    I live in the Pacific Northwest and work outdoors, so I need serious waterproofing. When I first took this out of the box I thought it was going back but I wore it a while and I'm so glad it did. Yes, it's stiff. The welded seams loosen up with time, but the zipper will always be pretty structured. That said, it provides absolute protection from heavy rain. Order a size up so you can layer underneath... I'm a 12 with a huge chest and ordered the XL in black so I can wear wool, thermals, and hoodies. It does not stretch, so you want the extra room. It's cut slightly slim in the center, though, and even with layers underneath makes me look curvy (in a good way). I've had a dozen strangers comment on it since I got it three weeks ago, wanting to know where to get one. If this jacket had pockets in the sides it would be perfect, but you get used to the chest pockets. They extend below the zipper bottom so things don't fall out if you forget to zip them up. The hood can be tightened so it exactly fits your head, and the brim has a bit of thick wire in it (about six inches) so you can shape it. Keeps the rain off my face when I'm working in dangerous conditions. I love this coat and plan to order the red as soon as I get a good Dealflyer, maybe in a L so I can wear it in the spring and fall.

    Looks great, love red/orange color. Great zippers, nice and light weight. Wish it had front pockets for hands and it is more crinkly and loud than my last rain coat. Really like it except for those two issues.

    So far I really like the jacket. As another individual indicated it would be nice to have pockets lower on the jacket but for the price and quality shouldn't really complain. One thing I did notice was that none of the literature that came with the jacket said "waterproof" so I hope it is true to its advertisement. I hope to get much use from this rain jacket.

    I bought this jacket for my wife. She is very happy with it. She is 5' 5" and 120lbs. Small fits perfect. It is stylish rain jacket. used in recent hike in the rain. It kept her dry.
