These are perfect for lots of outdoor winter activities. I was looking for waterproof pants to wear walking this winter...it rains a lot here. These are really versatile...they are not insulated or lined but with a pair of tights or long underwear they'll be nice and warm. They fit great and look stylish.

These pants run about 2 sizes too small but are well worth the money. I bought them to wear over a couple pairs of thermals for winter mountain bike riding (in Alaska). I was really worried when they showed up because they were so thin, but they block just enough wind and breath well. They also have enough stretch in them to make riding very comfortable and have replaced my stiff snow pants. They have worked so well I am wearing them over my work clothes for my commute to work when the weather is bad. These would be excellent hiking pants and I will be using them for snow shoeing and xc skiing. I would buy another pair if the size was available.

I had hoped to wear these for snowboarding but the fabric does not seem to be a shell fabric more a knit and very stretchy in feel. They remind me of jodhpurs. I wear 6/8s and the 10s are tight. They are cute and stylish in shape and long enough but seem thin and not water resistant? Have not worn them out yet. Not sure if I would recommend them or not.
