This is my first backpacking pack, so I can't really tell you how it stacks up to others, but I really like it. I'm short (5'2"), and wanted a pack that wouldn't dwarf me or cause me to fall over backwards when filled. This pack is highly adjustable, and fits me well. There is a divider that separates the main compartment into an upper and a lower compartment, with a separate zipper for the lower compartment. I originally thought this would be very convenient, but have found that not to be the case. The lower compartment zipper is difficult to open when the pack is filled. Also, when the divider is in place, the pack fits fewer items. After trying the divider several times, I now never use it. One thing I find inconvenient is the placement of the bladder hose hole. It's off to the side, which makes the mouthpiece of the bladder dangle off in the back, instead of in front of me. I wish the hole was positioned on the back of the pack and not on the side.

Very nice pack for the price. It's not extreamly large but I was looking for a pack for my daughter. We will be using it in Denali National Park. Has everything we needed. Lightweight and comfortable.

Beautiful pack at a great price! I've used a man's pack for the past 3 years and really needed one suited for a woman for additional adjusting and this pack was perfect.

I LOVE this pack. Being designed for a woman it fit me better than any other pack I tried on in the stores. (I have narrow shoulders) It is adjustable for torso length and has padding in all the right places for me. (Keep in mind that the pack I have been using is an aluminum framed and 30 years old so I am likely to be a little more easily pleased than those of you who have been using modern packs for a while) The one frustration I had was that my sleep pad didn't fit very well into the inner bag due to it's rolled length--the sleeping bag pocket in the bottom being in the way. It could have been fastened on the outside easily though. The sleeve for the water bladder is two narrow for the 1.5 litre branded bladder so it had to just rest inside with the other things. No hook for it either. Otherwise, wonderful pack with easy access pockets on the outside for small essentials of the day.

I bought this pack for my girlfriend. I've used it myself, and I have the men's Lowe Alpine Tundra TFX. The only difference is that mine has a front access, hers does not, but its not a big deal at all. Hers is a great pack that I would totally recommend to anyone. The TFX system is great and extremely comfy. One tip, the rain cover is hidden in the mesh water bottle pocket, its hard to find.
