Lowe Alpine Trek Pod 17+5 Backpack

I recently used this backpack hiking in the mountains and on lower trails by lakes in Colorado. It is just the right size and has enough compartments. I especially like the straps in front and back that pull across and help keep it secure on your body. And I love the color! Darlene

I bought this pack b/c I was looking for a little smaller day pack with less straps and zippers than the one I had been using. This is great so far. I used it while attending the USA Pro Cycling Challenge. It was perfect! I was able to carry 70 oz bladder and all the gear and food I needed to make it through the day. Plus, I really loved the security compartment stowing my wallet. It really eased my mind while wondering through such an intense crowd of people.

Have been looking for a backpack for travel that is big enough to be useful, with security features but not too big. Lowe Alpine makes quality products.

The bag has lots of pockets. They might be too small if you have big hands. There is a zipper to make the bag bigger or smaller depending on what you need. Good bag for being a tourist because lots of small pockets to put things in it and keep things organized.

OK, so I am a gear junkie, but I love this pack as my "personal" carry-on item when traveling... the hidden pocket on the back is a nice feature to carry small items you would rather not expose to view when opening the main compartments.

Fits well, not overly huge but carries what needs to be carried in style.

We were looking for a good, low-profile travel backpack and this is it! Very comfortable, and looks very small, but deceiving holds a lot of stuff. The perfect size for travel.

This is a perfect pack for a walk or light hiking. It's good looking with plenty of room for keys, (comes with a nice clip inside the pocket) sweatshirt, camera and/or cell phone, sunscreen, hat, water bottle, notebook, snacks, and a thin towel or blanket. The only feature I wish it had was a strap to secure the water bottle in the mesh pocket. Otherwise, it is just what I was looking for on light hikes.

Perfect size for airplane travel. Holds what I need.
