I purchased this jacket for a trip to New Zealand. We had great weather most of the time but the two days it did rain, I stayed dry. This jacket is also great when it is just windy.

I love this jacket. The color is amazing and the price was perfect. I will always stick with Marmot. It is far superior to the Columbia equivalent I had. It feels really nice, I get a lot of compliments, and the quality is unbeatable. I mean, even the stitching detail is wonderful. They paid attention to every zipper, every piece of velcro, and more.

Looking for a all round light weight shell with a high neck to bury my face in on the cold days and a hood to comfortably cover a helmet. It is all of the above and I love the burnt red colour!

Unless you never plan to wear the hood or to only wear it over a helmet this might not be the jacket for you. It does have some adjustments but I decided that it was not worth fiddling with and sent it back. I often wear a hood while skiing in windy weather and want one that is not so bulky.

Lowe Alpine makes stylish, well-constructed outerwear. Unfortunately of the 6 jacket styles I tried, all but one were too tight in the shoulders and chest. I normally wear a medium, 8-10 sized jacket with no trouble, and I have a slightly larger chest. Even the large sizes in the jackets pulled at the shoulders and chest.

I love the jacket. It's perfect with the waterproof pants that I also bought for wearing to football games and other outdoor activities when it's raining and chilly, but not terribly cold.

Bought jacket mainly for casual rainwear. The fabric is midweight, definitely not windbreaker material, and similar to GoreTex. I like the its styling, classic enough to be worn for a few years. Long enough to cover the buttocks. The cons are: prefer lining inside pockets for additional warmth, no chest pocket or dual zipper, prefer to have a parka style but hard to find at reasonable price. Overall, a good product and must not wear cotton to maintain breathability.

This is a nice looking, casual raincoat, I bought the burnt orange/red orange color and really like it. It is waterproof, as advertised, and a windbreaker too. The hood seems to be a bit large but has draw strings for easy adjustment. I would have liked it a bit longer but it is the advertised length. Overall, I'm very pleased with it.
