“While not waterproof, this softshell is more water resistant than any other softshell material. This also means that it is not quite as breathable as some, but I think it is perfect for cross country skiing when temps are below freezing so precipitation is solid. Also, great for winter hiking in the same conditions where you will be wearing the jacket (not packing it).”
