I bought this for my husband. At first he was a little worried it was too small and too light weight. It definitely packs well (hence the name PacLite). He went ahead and got an Arc'Teryx soft shell jacket to wear underneath it (for snow/cold weather). It fits nicely over a "not too heavy jacket" and ultimately we decided it would be a great, versatile jacket that we can pack anywhere (no bulk to worry about) and have on hand if need be.

Zips from left (female style, men's jacket). Hood for ski helmet doesn't store so that image is pretty much of a monster.

I planned on using this for canoe camping and backpacking. The workmanship (sewing) is truly Chinese--seams not completely sewn, cuts in fabric and just poor quality sewing.
