Great jacket overall! I am typically a size 8, but know that when ordering Lowe Alpine, to order a size up...so, I ordered a Large and it fit perfectly. Verified Buyer Reviewed by PacNWjeff from WA state on Monday, December 15, 2014I bought this coat for my 14 yo daughter as a replacement for her North Face soft shell that she had outgrown. She loves the fit of this jacket much better and says that she likes not being like the rest of the band wagon North Face follower's. The coat seems to be a better quality jacket more on the lines of Marmot or Mountain Hardware (Columbia).
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Seger Fan from South Dakota on Sunday, November 30, 2014I was looking for a warm jacket for winter runs, and this works perfectly. The jacket is so warm I'm very warm running with just a t-shirt or lightweight long sleeve T underneath, even when it's less than 20 degrees F with a brisk wind (with windchill, temps in the single digits). The jacket does an excellent job keeping the wind out, but the outside fabric is soft so there's no "swishing" noise while running. Outside pockets are suprisingly roomy--I was able to fit my entire retractable XL dog leash inside.
