I bought this jacket as my go-to shell for hiking in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. So far, this jacket has performed even better than I'd hoped. The fabric is soft and very breathable with good elasticity. The biggest surprise is just how effectively is resists water. The Colorado high country is generally dry, but the weather can be unpredictable. This jacket has kept me dry in the brief showers that frequent the area and offers effective protection against the sometimes stiff winds of the alpine tundra. I still carry my Marmot PreCip hardshell, but I don't immediately pull it out anymore.
The fit on this jacket is fantastic as well. I am 5'11" 185 lbs and a large has a good fit. I can wear a baselayer and my OR Radiant Hybrid fleece jacket underneath to provide a layering system that covers most alpine conditions. The hood and hem adjustment cords allow one-handed use, which is far superior to the adjustment of my PreCip. The cuff elastic is similarly superb and fits snugly (but not tight) on my wrists or hands when using the thumb loops. The pockets are spacious and the higher placement is perfect for allowing easy access when wearing a hipbelt or harness.
The only downside is the zipper fastens in the reverse of American jackets (like an American woman's garment zipper). As an Anglophile, it does make me smile every time I forget and stumble with the zipper while taking the jacket off.
You aren't going to find a better versatile light softshell jacket unless you are willing to pay more than double the price for it.

I'm 5'10", 150 lbs. with bra size 34B. I have broader than average shoulders (size 10) and a smaller chest. This jacket fits great in the shoulders but is tight in the chest. Strange fit, as most jackets that fit in the shoulders are too large in the chest. Too bad because this is a cute jacket. It's returned.

I originally bought this sweater in a size 14 (L) in the green color, but it was much too big (I'm 5' 9", 160 lbs). So, I exchanged it for a purple size 12 (M) and it fits perfectly, even on my really long torso. The color is really rich and beautiful and the collar zips up high and cozy around my chin to keep the chill out.
